ExoTerra has been awarded a NASA Phase II SBIR to flight qualify a Micro Electric Propulsion module. The module is designed to package within 9U and deliver >36 kNs of the total impulse to a CubeSat. The system uses ExoTerra’s Halo Hall Effect thruster operating at power as low as 135W. The modular package has a wet mass of <11 kg and easily mounts to CubeSats to provide up to 1.8 km/s of delta-V to a 27U satellite for dispersion from rideshare drop-offs, orbit optimization, or deorbit.
